I'm a practicing pediatric emergency physician who saw a problem I couldn't ignore—and built a company to solve it.

In 2014, a critically ill child died during a helicopter transfer to my emergency department.

The tragedy might have been prevented with something as simple as video technology connecting rural and pediatric hospitals.

That moment sparked my decade-long work in telemedicine and virtual care for the most vulnerable children.

By 2020, I built and led one of the first virtual care programs children with special needs.

We provided more support for families, and the clinical impact was incredible: it reduced hospitalizations by 35% and ER visits by 50%. However, in a fee-for-service system, the lack of reimbursement led to a loss of funding.

Working on the front lines during COVID, I watched those same children flood back into emergency departments.

I knew this model could help vulnerable children across the country if we could scale it, so I decided to build it as a startup.

I spent a year at Rubicon Founders to partner on building a concept that we could take to market.

In 2023, I designed, co-founded, launched and scaled Imagine Pediatrics to ensure children on Medicaid with chronic diseases get the care they deserve.

We grew from concept to multi-nine-figure valuation in two years and now serve nearly 100,000 children across multiple states.

Today, I advise venture firms, healthcare startups, and physician founders.

I also founded Startup Physicians, which creates pathways for physicians to enter the startup space as advisors, consultants, and founders.

I live in Nashville, TN with my husband and 4 children.
